Verification Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for frequency converters’ hardware verification at ABB’s Drive Products Division in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. You will ensure high quality product releases according to relevant standards. You will work in drive verification team to ensure drive conformance and performance by executing tests necessary to guarantee quality. You will be using a combination of automation and manual tools. Your responsibilities
- Executing tests based on standards and internal specifications
- Utilizing both manual and automated testing and develop them further
- Identifying and reporting quality issues
- Collaborating with design teams
- Maintaining test specifications and documentation
- Participating in defining working methods and best practices
Your background
- Safety oriented mindset with a strong understanding of electrical safety
- Skills in using various measurement devices such as oscilloscopes
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of automation and testing tools such as Robot Framework & TestRail is a benefit
- Knowledge of agile working methods is a benefit
- Appropriate educational background in the electrical field or equivalent experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Valid EU visa
